I’m Jake. I buy too many things, test them obsessively, and return the ones that don’t hold up.
PDT Mall exists because most product review sites are either thinly veiled ads or 6,000-word essays that never tell you what to actually buy. I wanted something different: quick verdicts, real criticisms, and a clear recommendation for every budget.
How I Review
I buy products with my own money. I use them for at least a week — longer for things like chairs and desks. I test the specific claims manufacturers make and call them out when reality doesn’t match the marketing.
Every review includes:
- A verdict up front (I don’t make you scroll past 2,000 words to find out if it’s good)
- Real pros and cons (not “pro: it exists” — actual useful observations)
- A comparison table when multiple products are involved
- A clear “buy this one” recommendation per budget tier
What I Don’t Do
I don’t accept free products from manufacturers. I don’t publish sponsored reviews. If a company emails me a review unit, I’ll buy the product myself if it’s worth reviewing.
The affiliate links on this site are how I fund more impulse purchases — I mean, thorough product research. You pay the same price. I get a small cut. Everybody wins except my UPS driver.
